Ph.D. Programme in the Faculty of Sciences
Jain University encourages research in Pure and Applied Sciences in contemporary areas of interest, research studies linked to research problems in industry, inter-disciplinary research and research in emerging areas. The research is undertaken by full time faculty attached to various Departments and Centres of the University, as well as research scholars enrolled with the University. The extensive facilities created in the University are put to maximum use. Where needed, scholars permitted to use exclusive facilities available with Institutions like the Indian Institute of Science, Indian Institute of Management, National Aeronautical Laboratory, Institute of Astrophysics etc. Scholars are challenged to take up research in innovative areas, which impact human life and also to contribute to existing body of knowledge.
A number of projects are funded by Government and Private sector entities.
Research interests of the University are currently in the following areas. Jain University constantly seeks to evolve new lines of research inquiry with a view to contributing significantly to the body of scientific knowledge in pure and applied sciences.

Ph.D. Programme in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology
The Research and Development focus of Jain University in the fields of Engineering Science and Technology is on areas related to current needs of industry sectors and verticals, emerging areas, cross-disciplinary research studies and innovative themes. Industry sectors and verticals include Information Technology, Material Science, Energy, Nano-technology related to environment, Chemical Engineering and Material Science. Ph.D. Programme in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and Faculty of Languages
Research is pursued in the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences and Languages with the firm belief that humanities contributes significantly towards shaping the future and towards enhancing cultural memory. They help to mediate between cultures; they reflect and offer guidance on human values essential for the orderly development of society. The ability of the humanities to discover commonalities in diversity is very important in todays world considering the manifold opinions and viewpoints which exist. The Ph.D. programmes in Commerce and Management are offered by the Faculties of Management and Commerce and the Chenraj Roychand Centre for Entrepreneurship (CRCE), Jain University.
Research in Commerce and Management focuses on emerging trends, paradigms and business practices.
Research initiatives of the University are currently in Retail Marketing, Microfinance and Entrepreneurship. The university is always open to scholars pursuing research on other emerging themes.
